King of Pop Michael Jackson Dead at 50

Shocking news!!! Michael Jackson is dead due to cardiac arrest on Thursday 3:15 p.m. 18th June 2009. Music icon Michael Jackson, whose fame spanned from his childhood with the legendary Jackson 5 to a superstar solo career that earned him the nickname ‘King of Pop‘ died Thursday afternoon at a Los Angeles hospital, a source close to the family told FOX News. He was 50 years old.

Terry Fox Run - Never Give Up on a Dream

Tribute music video to Terry Fox who attempted to run across Canada on one leg, a victim of cancer. Terry died before completing his run.

In June 1981, Terry developed pneumonia, and on June 27, he went into a coma. He died on the 28th at 4:35 a.m., which was his favourite hour of running, a year after his legendary run, and exactly one month shy of his twenty-third birthday.

Song is by Rod Stewart, which was written and recorded as a tribute to Terry. Videos obtained from CBC web archives. Images of cancer patients obtained through Google image searches

Inspirational Canadian Terrance Stanley "Terry" Fox

Terrance Stanley "Terry" Fox, CC (July 28, 1958 – June 28, 1981) was a Canadian humanitarian, athlete, and cancer treatment activist. He became famous for the Marathon of Hope, a cross-Canada run to raise money for cancer research, which Fox ran with one prosthetic leg. He is considered one of Canada's greatest heroes of the 20th century and is celebrated internationally every September as people participate in the Terry Fox Run, the world's largest one-day fundraiser for cancer research.
